Your Role
As a Senior Research/Technology Associate within our Fragrance Science & Technology team, you will contribute to the development of innovative fragrance microencapsulation systems. You will independently design and perform laboratory experiments, analyze results, and translate scientific findings into practical solutions that shape the next generation of fragrance delivery technologies.
Your work will also support the transition from laboratory innovation to industrial implementation.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and document scientific projects on fragrance microencapsulation, from design and laboratory experimentation to pilot and production scale.
- Develop and formulate polymer and biopolymer systems with targeted physicochemical properties (rheology, tribology, release behavior, stability).
- Develop and optimize characterization methods for encapsulation systems and related materials.
- Support scale‑up and industrial transfer, ensuring smooth transition from lab to pilot and production.
- Analyze and interpret data, prepare technical reports, and communicate clear conclusions.
- Perform literature reviews and maintain scientific watch in polymer science and materials innovation.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment in line with EHS standards, contribute to laboratory operations and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and intellectual property creation.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree or Engineering degree with at least 2 years of industrial R&D experience in polymer or materials science or
- Technician with 10+ years of relevant experience or
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5-10 years of experience
èKnowledge or previous exposure to industrialization or process scale‑up is a strong plus.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Strong computer literacy and ability to manage scientific data.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities in research environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in polymer characterization, emulsion systems, rheological and tribological measurements.
- Broad understanding of scientific principles and experimental design.
- Capability to interpret results critically and define next experimental steps.
- Familiarity with relevant scientific literature and industry trends.
- Experience or interest in technology transfer and industrial scale‑up would be an advantage.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to laboratory best practices and EHS standards.
- Team‑oriented and collaborative.
