Junior UI Developer - #53188
Pixel Systems
Date: il y a 3 semaines
Ville: Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Type de contrat: Temps plein
À distance
We are adding a Junior UI Developer to our team to help build internal tools for a major French industrial group. This project involves creating functional dashboards and data management interfaces that help their operations teams handle complex logistics. This is a full-time, fully remote position where the focus is on building practical software that solves day-to-day business problems.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical work: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything (the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos) when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.
The role
As a Junior UI Developer, you will be working on the interfaces our clients use to interact with their data. You will spend your time translating layout designs into functional code, ensuring that information from various APIs displays correctly and that the tools are easy for internal staff to navigate. This role is about usability and clarity rather than artistic flair.
Working in a fully remote environment, you will help clean up legacy CSS, build new components for admin dashboards, and ensure that our applications work reliably across different systems. You will collaborate with our developers to make sure the front end connects properly to the back end. This role is paid and the salary is competitive for the market, offering a stable environment to grow your technical skills.
What we look for
Working here is different from working at a large corporation. There are no layers of middle management or complex hierarchies. You will work directly with our senior developers and designers to ship code that solves real problems. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance because we know that rested developers write better code. Our culture is built on honesty and getting the work done without unnecessary drama.
Since the team is fully remote, you have the flexibility to set up your own workspace. We rely on clear writing and weekly video check-ins to stay aligned. You will see the results of your work quickly, often within a week of starting a task, as we move through our demo cycles. We believe in providing our people with the documentation and support they need to succeed, ensuring that even as a junior developer, you are never left guessing what the next step is.
We are a small team that likes to keep things simple. We do not have long, aimless meetings. We just build useful software and deliver it to our clients. If you prefer the idea of building tools that actually help people do their jobs over chasing the latest design trends, you will find this to be a stable and rewarding place to begin your career as a developer.

What we look for
- A basic understanding of HTML and CSS. You should be able to build a layout that stays together and follows a design.
- Familiarity with JavaScript. You do not need to be an expert, but you should know how to work with basic data structures and functions.
- An eye for detail. When a client needs a data table to be readable, you should notice if the spacing is off or the columns are crowded.
- The ability to write code that other people can understand. We value simplicity over complex or clever solutions.
- A practical mindset. You are comfortable building a tool that might only be seen by a few dozen warehouse managers, as long as it makes their jobs easier.
- Good communication skills. Since we work remotely, being able to explain what you are working on or where you are stuck is essential.
- Strong organizational habits. You can manage your own tasks and keep track of your progress without constant supervision.
- Some experience using React or a similar modern frontend framework for personal projects or coursework.
- Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub for version control.
- An understanding of how to pull data from a JSON API and display it on a page.
- Experience using the command line for basic development tasks.
- Exposure to CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap.
- A general interest in how large industrial businesses manage their internal data and workflows.
