Pixel Systems

Ville: Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
Type de contrat: Temps plein

We are adding a Project Administrator to our team to help us manage a new engagement with a major French logistics firm. This client relies on complex domestic and international transport networks, and they have asked us to replace their aging manual tracking systems with a custom dashboard and database. In this role, you will help coordinate our internal developers and the client to ensure the project stays organized and the documentation stays current.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small software agency that builds practical tools for businesses. We avoid flashy consumer apps and instead focus on things that keep operations running, like custom CRMs, internal admin panels, and database integrations. We are a fully remote team and we value a straightforward way of working. We do not do long meetings or vague plans. We provide our clients with fixed quotes, we perform weekly demos, and we hand over everything, including the code and documentation, when a project is finished.
Our team uses stable technology like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the systems we build to be reliable. We do not chase every new trend. We focus on solving real operational problems for our clients, like helping a warehouse manage its inventory or assisting a logistics company in tracking its fleet across borders.
The role
As a Project Administrator, your main task is to keep our project workflows moving. You will not be writing code, but you will be in the middle of the process, making sure that what the developers build matches what the client asked for. Since we are a remote company, clear written communication is the most important part of this job.
You will be responsible for keeping our project boards updated and ensuring that all tasks have clear descriptions. You will attend weekly demo meetings with the French logistics firm to take notes, track requested changes, and update the project timeline. A significant part of the job involves documentation. When we finish a new feature, you will help create the walkthrough guides and help text that the client employees will use to learn the system.
What you bring
We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys keeping things in order. This is an entry-level position, so we do not expect you to have a long career in project management already. What matters most is that you are reliable and can follow a process through to completion.
While no specific professional experience is required, some familiarity with the following areas will help you get started more easily:
Working here is quite different from a typical corporate job. We are a small team, which means there are no layers of management between you and the work. You will see the immediate impact of your efforts as the tools we build are put into use by the logistics team in France. This is a full-time, permanent position that is fully remote. This is a paid role, and the compensation is competitive and fair for an entry-level position in this field.
We believe in a calm work environment. We hit our milestones by being organized, not by working late or rushing at the last minute. Because we are remote, we rely on tools like Slack and GitHub to stay in touch, but we also respect your time away from the keyboard. We want you to learn how we manage projects and eventually take on more responsibility as you become familiar with our process.
We value clear expectations and honest feedback. If a project plan is unrealistic, we say so. If a feature is not working the way it should, we fix it. We are looking for someone who shares this practical outlook and wants to help us build tools that people actually use every day.

- You have strong writing skills and can explain how a software feature works in plain English.

- You have an interest in how software is made, even if you are not a developer yourself.
- You are thorough and notice when a detail in a document does not match the actual software.
- You are comfortable asking questions when a technical explanation does not make sense to you.
While no specific professional experience is required, some familiarity with the following areas will help you get started more easily:
- Experience using shared document tools like Google Docs, Notion, or Airtable.
- Basic knowledge of project tracking software like Trello, Jira, or GitHub Issues.
- Previous experience in a role that required clear communication with customers or clients.
- A basic understanding of business operations, such as how goods move through a supply chain.
- Experience creating simple how-to guides or instructional materials for others.
