About the Role

As Head of Legal, you will be the cornerstone of our group’s legal function — advising executives and business leaders on a broad spectrum of legal matters including commercial contracts, intellectual property, insurance, employment, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in protecting the company’s interests while actively supporting strategic decision-making and risk management at the highest level.

You will report directly to the WW Legal & HR Director.

As Head of Legal at Presto Engineering, you will:

• Shape the legal foundation of a fast-growing, pan-European semiconductor group
• Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on complex cross-border legal matters
• Play a direct role in protecting and enabling our expansion in France, Denmark, and the USA
• Lead governance structures including the Work Council and Whistleblowing Committee
• Build and refine internal legal frameworks that support innovation and compliance
• Be the go-to legal partner for strategic deals, partnerships, and risk management

Primary Responsibilities:

Legal oversight & risk

• Oversee all legal affairs and align with business objectives
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across the group
• Conduct ongoing legal research to ensure regulatory compliance

Contracts & documents

• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts and legal agreements
• Minimise legal exposure and ensure compliance in all dealings
• Manage and collaborate with external counsel as needed

Governance & compliance

• Chair Work Council meetings at Presto Engineering France
• Oversee internal delegations of powers and signatures
• Chair the Whistleblowing Committee

Policy & advisory

• Develop internal legal policies, procedures, and best practices
• Guide internal teams on key legal matters
• Support strategic and spot projects across the business

Key Interfaces

You will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Internally, you collaborate with Management, Sales, HR, and the Works Council. Externally, you engage with customers, suppliers, lawyers, and brokers, ensuring strong and effective partnerships across all interfaces.

Requirements

• Master of Laws (LLM or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar legal role

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in commercial & contract law, intellectual property, insurance, confidentiality, and employment law
• Experience with dispute resolution and legal drafting/analysis
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage legal risk
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French
